Voice chat rooms with people around the world
Sometimes typing isn't enough. In a Live Room up to 15 people can speak on the stage while up to 15 more listen, all from your browser. There is nothing to install.
What you can control
Switch your microphone on and off, step down from the stage to listen, or leave whenever you like. A moderator can mute or move someone who disrupts the room, and you can report anyone from their profile card.
Pick the right room
Browse rooms by topic (Casual Chat, Music, Technology, Gaming, Education or Open Discussion) or tap Quick join. Rooms can be voice, video or text only.
Tips for a good room
Use headphones to avoid echo. Find a quiet spot and mute when you are not speaking. Say hello in the chat, listen for a minute to get the feel of the room, then jump in. If someone is rude, tell a moderator or report them.
Games and reactions
Send emoji reactions that float across the room, and play Ludo, Scribble or Truth or Dare from the Games tab.
Privacy: what to know
Hello Stranger does not record audio or video. Room voice and video are relayed through LiveKit, our media provider, rather than sent directly between participants. Each room keeps its most recent chat messages as room history (see the Privacy Policy).
Hello Stranger is for adults aged 18 and older.
